NORFOLK, Virginia (April 24, 2014) – Students from Caldwell High School’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program took the opportunity to visit Marine units in the Hampton Roads area April 24. The students started their tour by visiting Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment’s (MCSFR) Training Company in Chesapeake, where they saw a close quarter’s battle demonstration and were briefed on what Marine security forces do and how they are trained. After Training Company’s demonstration, the students made their way to Norfolk where they were able to see and handle various weapons during a static weapons display courtesy of Alpha Company, MCSFR. The students’ final demonstration was the Camp Allen obstacle course, hosted by Headquarters and Service Battalion. After the demonstration the students had the opportunity to run the course.
