SLADE CUTTER PARK, NORFOLK, VA - Marines and sailors take part in a softball tournment to raise awareness for the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, March 24. The units that participated include Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Forces Command, Marine Corps Security Force Regiment, and Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Atlantic. The tournament was able to raise $1,300 for the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society. The Navy Marine Corps Relief Society's mission is to provide financial, educational, and other need-based assistance to active duty and retired service members and their families. Collection for the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society concludes on April 8 for the Hampton Roads area. So far, they have collected $31,000.
