Cpl. James Bailey, 1st squad leader with Charlie Company, 3rd Platoon, Marine Corps Security Forces, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Command, Fleet Marine Force Atlantic, provides security after an ambush during a Mission Readiness Exercise (MRX) July 21, 2020, on Fort A. P. Hill in Port Royal, Virginia. Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) platoons are required to execute a MRX prior to the FAST Deployment Program. The purpose of the MRX is to provide the training company with a mission-oriented and scenario based event, which will be evaluated by the regiment in order to validate each platoon’s proficiency in core mission essential task.
