U.S. Marines and Sailors with the 26th MEU participated in George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group’s Composite Unit Training Exercise (COMPTUEX) from the USS Bataan and Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Atlantic. This is the first time that a MEU has integrated into the Carrier Strike Group’s COMPTUEX. The purpose of COMPTUEX is to assess a units’ ability to conduct military operations at sea, project power ashore through joint planning and execution of challenging and realistic training scenarios. This exercise provided the 26th MEU with another opportunity to strengthen relationships between the Navy-Marine Corps team. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Zachary Zephir)
