U.S. Navy doctors and corpsmen, assigned to the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a mass casualty exercise in Syndalen, Finland, Aug. 13, 2022. The training tested the medical providers proficiency in a high-stress environment, as well as coordinating transportation of victims to a higher echelon of care. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and 22nd MEU, under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
