U.S. Marines assigned to 8th Engineer Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, Marine Wing Support Squadron 272, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, and 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division and U.S. Navy sailors assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 1 participated in Exercise Summer Pioneer 2022 on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, from July 16 to July 30, 2022. Exercise Summer Pioneer 2022 is a naval engineering exercise demonstrating integrated U.S Marine Corps and U.S. Navy formations to establish and sustain Expeditionary Advanced Bases and Maritime Domain Awareness.
