Co. C - Bayonet Assault Course

A recruit of Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, rushes from behind an obstacle during the Bayonet Assault Course at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 29. Recruits were instructed to move quickly during the course to simulate maneuvering around dangerous environments during combat situations. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Charlie Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 22.
