Naval Station Norfolk - U.S. Marines with Fleet Marine Forces, Atlantic (FMFLANT), Marine Forces Command (MARFORCOM), Marine Forces Northern Command (MARFORNORTH) and the Intermediate Logistics Embarkation Course (ILEC) tour the USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, Nov. 16, 2021. The USS Gunston Hall is a United States Navy Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship designed to transport and launch loaded amphibious crafts with embarked personnel. Understanding the U.S. Navy’s capability to sustain operations globally contributes to the unit’s Force Design 2030 naval integration plan. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Angel Alvarado)
