The FMFLANT/MARFORCOM/MARFOR NORTHCOM staff is comprised of Marines, Sailors, Civilian Marines, Technical Representatives and Civilian Contractors. FMFLANT/MARFORCOM/MARFOR NORTHCOM provides a robust, U.S. Marine Corps presence in Norfolk, Virginia. The Headquarters’ proximity to the Joint Staff J31, Joint and Coalition Warfare Center and the Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces (COMUSFF), enables the Commander, Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic, Marine Forces Command, Marine Forces Northern Command, to conduct authoritative day-to-day liaison for both operational and programmatic issues as well as become engaged in joint force provider, joint training, and conduct Naval integrations.
CHECKING IN:

You will report to MARFORCOM G1 MANPOWER, for your reporting endorsement at room 338, 1775 Forrestal Drive, Norfolk VA, 23551, during normal working hours (0800-1600). In case of an emergency, after hours, or on weekends the officer of the day can be reached at DSN 836-1644 or commercial (757) 836-1644. OOD will log time of arrival and date in the duty log book. You will then report to HQSVCBN, IPAC on the following business day to receive official reporting endorsement, complete audit and travel claim.

After the first week or so in receiving your web orders/MROWs orders, you should have received information from your sponsor. If you were not appointed a sponsor, ensure that you have a sponsor appointed to you by your new command. Your sponsor should formally introduce themselves. Also, your sponsor should give you information about your new command such as the mission, a detailed description about your new chain of command, and a detail description about your position in the workplace.

Bachelor enlisted quarters are located aboard Naval Station Norfolk. The assigned quarters of inbound Marines will be managed by Navy personnel and organized by their NCO/SNCOs upon arrival.
