200221-M-IR130-2001 ARABIAN GULF (Feb. 21, 2020) Marines assigned to Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conduct bilateral training with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces in Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia, Feb. 21, 2020. The 26th MEU, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
