U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Bryson, a hospital corpsman with 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division, receives the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (NCM) and the Chief Hospital Corpsman George William ‘Doc’ Piercy Award on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Sept. 22, 2020. Bryson received the award and NCM for his continued outstanding contribution to the unit which increased combat medical readiness during COVID-19.
